JUANA DIAZ, Puerto Rico, December 21, 2017 – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), RCAP Solutions, subcontractors from Environmental Restoration, and FEMA work together to collect and properly dispose of household hazardous materials such as televisions, printers, propane, paint, and cleaning products. Locals were able to drop-off these items free of charge to prevent illegal dumping in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. 180 items of household hazardous waste and 2,880 pounds of electronic materials were collected for recycling. These efforts continue at various drop-off sites throughout Puerto Rico. Grace Simoneau/FEMA
