MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Cpl. Khalil Cotton, a rifleman with 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division sprints while his teammates provide suppression fire during a live fire and maneuver range at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton during exercise Iron Fist 2018, Jan. 18. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral amphibious training exercise designed to improve USMC and JGSDF’s ability to plan, communicate and conduct combined amphibious operations at the platoon, company and battalion levels.
