PATROL BASE WOLFPACK, Helmand province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan -- Marines with 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion roll out on a mission recently. Marines with 2nd LAR Battalion used similar vehicles recently to assist in a medical evacuation for two Marines with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. Light Armored Vehicles are built to maneuver though rough terrain and negotiate obstacles normal vehicles cannot.
