Lt. Col. Joseph R. Clearfield, former commanding officer of 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, hands over the battalion colors to Lt. Col. Kevin Norton, the new commanding officer of 1/4, during a change-of-command ceremony at the Camp Horno landing zone, May 19. Norton previously served as a strategic planner for the plans and policy directorate in the United States Strategic Command. Clearfield is moving onto the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at Fort McNair, Washington.
