Pfc. Matthew Padilla of the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion holds his son Joseph, 4 months, following the battalion’s redeployment ceremony at Fort Drum’s Magrath Sports Complex on December 18. Padilla was able to briefly return home when Joseph was born, and said he was thrilled to finally be home to spend time with his first born.
