Sgt. Arthur Whittaker was recognized and presented with a certificate of commendation for his selfless acts of care, Dec. 14, 2017, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. On a flight to Guam, he attended to an elderly man who was traveling alone and appeared disoriented and delusional. He and another Marine cared for the man throughout the duration of the 7 hour flight. Whittaker, a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, is an electrical optical ordnance technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
