1st Lt. Sean Donahue and Staff Sgt. Steven Betancourt, of the 7th Engineer Battalion, 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, prepare for the Do-Nou Road repair project, Dec. 7, Garoua, Cameroon. The project is designed to teach local residents in the area to repair their roads before the rainy season in northern Cameroon. The soldiers of 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, are serving in a support role for the Cameroon military’s fight against the violent extremist organization Boko Haram.
