    As Soldiers of the California National Guard's 140th Chemical Company drive, Ventura City Police Sgt, Kenny Welch assists residents load shuttles that will take them to their residence. For many residents impacted by the Thomas Fire, this was their first opportunity to witness first hand what, if anything, was left of their homes.
