Pfc. James Brown, Platoon 3032, India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, holds his platoon's guidon during graduation practice Monday. Before Brown attended recruit training, he served as a corrections officer at Federal Correctional Complex Coleman, Fla., and other correctional facilities for 10 years. The 28-year-old new Marine is graduating as one of today's honor graduates, an accomplishment he said was achieved with the help of his unique background in law enforcement.
