Christian Brown, data support team chief, both assigned to 586th Network Support Company, 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, power down the Very Small Aperture Terminal satellite dish during Operation Signal Warrior at Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, May 3, 2011. The soldiers establish the first phase of communication support with networking systems that provide communication capabilities in a combat environment. Pierce, a West Jordan, Utah, native and Brown, an Augusta, Ga., native are deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C.
