U.S. Marine Corps F-35Bs assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan simulate a rapid rearm and refuel at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea Dec. 4, 2017 during VIGILANT ACE 18. The F-35 is a highly capable, fifth-generation fighter which enables the III Marine Expeditionary Force to bring strategic agility, operational flexibility, and tactical supremacy to the Pacific. With the F-35B in the region the Marines enhance their ability to support regional allies and partners during crises by enabling forces to perform a wide range of missions across multiple domains.
