PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 28, 2017) Capt. Patrick V. Foege, offgoing commander, Amphibious Squadron ONE, receives an award from Rear Adm. Cathal S. O'Connor, commander, Expeditionary Strike Group THREE, during a change of command ceremony on the port bridge wing of amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Rushmore is underway off the coast of Southern California participating in a series of qualifications and certifications as part of the basic phase of training in preparation for future operations and deployments.
