Undersea Rescue Command (URC), based in San Diego, prepares a Submarine Rescue Chamber (SRC) on board the Norwegian vessel Skandi Patagonia to support their ongoing search for the Argentine navy submarine ARA San Juan in the South Atlantic. URC is deploying two rescue assets, the Submarine Rescue Chamber (SRC) and the Pressurized Rescue Module (PRM). The URC Sailors deploying with the rescue systems are highly trained and routinely exercise employing the advanced technology in submarine rescue scenarios.
