    171117-N-WY954-027 PEARL HARBOR (Nov. 17, 2017) Rear Adm. Wang Dazhong, Deputy Chief of Staff of People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy and his staff are given a tour of the guided-missile destroyer USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110) by Ens. Sarah Cox. During his trip Wang met with senior representatives from U.S. Pacific Command, U.S. Pacific Air Forces, and the U.S. Pacific Fleet during the Military Maritime Consultative Agreement (MMCA) working group and annual plenary meetings. During the MMCA meetings, both U.S. and Chinese officials discussed how to improve maritime and aviation safety and professionalism; reviewed unsafe incidents over the last year; and discussed implementation and assessment of the Rules of Behavior for Safety of Air and Maritime Encounters Memorandum of Understanding.
