CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti – Army Lt. Col. David R. Stagliano, officer in charge of the Function Specialty Team and Battalion Surgeon for the 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion, teaches a Military Tropical Medicine Course, Nov. 15. Those in attendance included U.S. military, as well as Japanese and German military medical personnel. One of the many functions of the class is to teach how to identify and treat regional infectious and communicable diseases such as malaria, Zika virus, Ebola and rabies.
