Quent E. Lupton, a biology instructor for Craven Community College, gives a lesson about Box Turtles during a nature hike along the Piranha Pit bike trail aboard Cherry Point, April 21. Two biology instructors gave guided hikes on the trail to educate Marines, sailors and civilians about nature aboard Cherry Point during Earth Week. Marines, sailors and civilians worked with Cherry Point’s Environmental Affairs Department in preserving wildlife and reducing trash throughout the air station.
