During a ceremony to recognize Veterans Day, Maj. Gen. D. Scott McKean and Command Sgt. Maj. Edward M. Mitchell and , the commander and command
sergeant major of the 2nd Infantry Division/ ROK/US Combined Division, place a wreath in remembrance of the holiday outside the 2ID/RUCD Museum located on Camp Red Cloud, Korea, Nov. 12, 2017. The federal holiday was signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower 1954, expanding the holiday from the Armistice Day holiday (a holiday remembering World War I veterans) to include honoring all veterans who served in the U.S. military.
