The Coast Guard rescued a 32-year-old male and towed his disabled ocean rowboat approximately 35 miles northeast of Maui, Nov. 7, 2017.
Ruihn Yu, a Chinese national, was conducting a trans-Pacific voyage from Richmond, California, to a port call in China and Taiwan in his 18-foot vessel when he experienced communication failures as well as a damaged rudder.
