Capt. Michelle Sabala assumed command of the 165th Security Forces Squadron in a change of command ceremony held Nov. 4, 2017 at the Savannah Air National Gaurd Base, Georgia. Maj. Roy Fountain, Jr. relinquishes command after more than three years in the position. Sabala is the former commander of the 187th Security Forces Squadron Montgomery Regional Air National Guard Base in Alabama. There, she was the primary advisor to the 187th FW commander on all matters related to security and training, the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance program and the Wing's integrated defense programs. She has deployed four times in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN.
