A Soldier assigned to 1st Battalion, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade attempts to start a fire using a magnesium fire starter kit Oct. 24, 2017, at Ft. Benning, Ga. At the survival, evasion, resistance and escape lane during a field training exercise, 1-38 CAV Soldiers were challenged to assemble/disassemble weapons and create a fire for a field training exercise.
