    Carrie Castiglione is presented with the shadow box of her late son, Petty Officer 3rd Class Benjamin P. Castiglione of Howell, Michigan, during a memorial ceremony for him on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Nov. 3, 2017. Castiglione was a hospital corpsman assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and was killed by an improvised explosive device in Qal Yeh Now, Afghanistan Sept. 3rd, 2009 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was 21. The battalion named its aid station after Castiglione during the ceremony, which was attended by his family, friends and fellow Marines and sailors. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
