Southern Strike 2018 is a large-scale, joint multinational combat exercise that provides tactical level training for the full spectrum of conflict. It emphasizes air dominance, maritime operations, maritime air support, precision engagement, close air support, command and control, personnel recovery, aero medical evacuation, and combat medical support. The exercise will be based out of the Combat Readiness Training Center - Battlefield Airmen Center in Gulfport, Miss., however most range operations occur at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Hattiesburg, Miss. from 23 Oct to 3 Nov 2018.
