Coast Guard rescues dog in Lake Pontchartrain [Image 1 of 2]

A Coast Guard boatcrew from Station New Orleans rescued a dog in Lake Pontchartrain Monday afternoon. A Coast Guard boatcrew that was preparing to get underway for training launched, rescued the dog and brought him back to the station. From there, he was turned over to the Jefferson Parish East Bank Animal Shelter.
