Sgt. Maj. Joseph Shaw, the sergeant major of 2nd Marine Division (Forward), receives a situational report for a guard post from Lance Cpl. Robert C. Huseth, an assaultman for 2nd Platoon, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, at Patrol Base Sangin Fulod, April 9. Shaw was able to meet a wide variety of Marines operating in Sangin from both 1st and 3rd Battalions, 5th Marines due to the unique timing of the command visit.
