Heather M. Williamson is the second woman in the Carteret Craven United States Bowling Congress Women’s Bowling Association to ever bowl a 300, doing so at the Stars N’ Strikes Bowling Center Feb. 25. Williamson, a Marine spouse, said the whole bowling community took part in the event. She said as she bowled that day, no one talked to her for fear of throwing Williamson off her game. When she threw the last ball, she sank to her knees and covered her face with her hands in disbelief. The bowling center exploded with cheers when the pins fell down.
