Lt. Col. Bruce Lambeth, commander of the 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, presents a Ukrainian army officer a coin for excellence at a graduation ceremony for 28 officers and soldiers who graduated the Yavoriv Combat Training Center's observer, controller/trainer academy at the CTC on the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in Western Ukraine, on Oct. 23.
In 2017, more than 100 officers and soldiers have graduated from the academy and now lead training at the CTC. The academy began under the direction of members of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine but is now completely Ukrainian army taught and led. (Photo by Sgt.
