Butler, an adviser with the United States Forces-Iraq’s Deputy Commanding General for Advising and Training’s staff, during a ceremony honoring his achievements during his second tour of duty in Iraq. Butler spent three months in the Kurdistan region advising the Ministry of Peshmerga's directorate of training on its basic combat training program and basic combat training instructor course.
