    U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Paul Pardew, Expeditionary Contracting Command commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. On October 1, 2008, the Army recognized the formal establishment of the Army Contracting Command (ACC) as a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) to perform the majority of contracting work for the U.S. Army. The command was divided into two subordinate commands responsible for installation and expeditionary contracting. The ECC was deactivated after nine years of existence.
