The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District’s contractor, R.J. Zavoral & Sons, Inc., from East Grand Forks, N.D., digs dirt from a borrow pit to build emergency levees in Georgetown, N.D. The borrow pit, a source for collecting levee building material, was the communities local baseball field. The Corps is actively involved in building levees in communities along the Red River of the North. The areas impacted involve communities in both Minnesota and North Dakota.
