California Army National Guardsmen line a street with members of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and await the arrival of a volunteer firefighter, who was killed recently during the Northern California wildfires. On the other side of the street stood police officers, county sheriffs and civilians. The volunteer hailed from Missouri and his cause of death is being investigated, per the Sheriff’s Office.
