Senior Airman Matthew Masciorini, Detachment 7, 732nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron inspects his 7.62mm linked ammo for his M-240B machine gun prior to performing an early morning police transition team mission in Baghdad, Iraq. Masciorini is deployed for 365 days from the 460th Security Forces Squadron, Buckley, Air Force Base. Det. 7 conducts police transition team operations with Iraqi police units that are assigned areas of Baghdad, Det. 7 Airmen provide training and mentorship on police station operations and patrol tactics in order to enable Iraqi Police to take the lead for domestic security and establish a secure environment for Iraqi citizens.
