Sailors and workers from Puget Sound and Norfolk Naval Shipyard lower bags of luggage from the fantail of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington to a ferry that will shuttle transferring personnel to Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo. More than 300 shipyard employees have been provided orders to return to their home commands after spending two weeks underway aboard George Washington. George Washington departed from her forward operating port of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka in response to the complex nature of the disaster that struck Japan on March 11.
