A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion takes off while conducting assault support tactics 3 (AST 3) during Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course (WTI) 1-18 at Kiwanis Park, Yuma, Ariz., Oct. 13, 2017. AST 3 is an exercise focused on conducting a noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) in an urban environment while concurrently providing foreign humanitarian assistance (FHA) to the simulated host nation. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by MAWTS-1 cadre which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps Aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force.
