Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division Commanding Officer conducts pre-dive checks in the KM-37 dive helmet fitted with a heads-up display prototype called the Diver Augmented Vision Display, or DAVD. The prototype offers divers situational awareness in low visibility environments. DAVD phase II in-water testing was conducted at the Naval Diving Salvage Training Center by Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division scientists and engineers, like mechanical engineer Allie Pilcher (left). Testing was conducted Oct. 10-13, 2017 and was also supported by Naval Sea Systems Command (00C) and Florida State University Panama City. U.S. Navy photo by Ron Newsome, NSWC PCD
