Many vendors were available to 489th Civil Affairs Soldiers and their families during the pre-deployment Yellow Ribbon held at the Knoxville, Tenn., Convention Center, March 19, 2011. Vendors provide valuable information on topics such as medical benefits, counseling, legal and finance. The pre-deployment Yellow Ribbon event is the first of a series of events that are part of the U.S. Department of Defense Reintegration Program, which prepares Soldiers and their families for overseas deployments, events during a deployment and for the transition back when they return.
