Brig. Gen. Aaron Walter, commander for the 100th Training Division, presents the Soldier's Medal to Sgt. 1st Class Alicia Hofmann at an award ceremony at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Sept. 29, 2017. Assigned to the 8th Regiment, 100th Health Services Battalion, 4th Brigade, 100th TD, Hofmann was awarded the Soldier's Medal for risking her life when she saved a man from a burning car accident that occurred on Oct. 4, 2014 in Saline, Michigan.
