    The amphibious assault ship USS Bataan departs Naval Station Norfolk as part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group. Bataan deployed ahead of its original schedule in order to relieve units from the Kearsage Amphibious Ready Group in the Mediterranean Sea.
