Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Brian Seaverns of Tacoma, Wash., power washes a vehicle engine before doing maintenance at the Construction Mechanic Shop in Camp Fallujah, Iraq. Santos is assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18 based out of Fort Lewis, Wash. NMCB-18 is made up of reservists from the Pacific Northwest who have volunteered their time to help build up the infrastructure of Iraq to help it become a safe and prosperous democracy.
