    WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Members of the Air Force, Army and Navy Research Laboratories visit the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate to learn of the unique capabilities and facilities available to support research efforts in synthetic biology. The tri- service Applied Research for the Advancement of Science and Technology Priorities (ARAP) Program on Synthetic Biology for Military Environments (SBME) unites researchers from each of the service laboratories in an effort to create the organic capabilities and infrastructure within the DoD for synthetic biology for future defense technology.
