Petty Officer 2nd Class Gabriel Fortes, hospital corpsman, a native of New Jersey by way of Brazil, receives a hug of acknoledgement from Darft, a young Thai student at the School for the Blind Education Service Center on March 18 in Korat, Thailand, during a break from Cope Tiger 2011, an annual, multilateral, joint field training exercise currently being conducted at Korat and Udon Thani Royal Thai Air Bases March 14 through 25. U.S. sailors and Marines of the Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, took time from the exercise to visit the school. Participants of Cope Tiger include the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Marine Corps, the Royal Thai Air Force, Royal Thai Army, and the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
