Motivational speaker Jared Estes, who lost his wife and suffered severe burns after being hit by a drunk driver in 2005, removes his prosthetic ear during a presentation for service members Sept. 15 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Belle Chase, La. Estes was invited to speak during Suicide Awareness Month because of the resilience he displayed after such a tragic and life changing accident.
