Holly Vickers, Naval Hospital Pensacola’s suicide prevention coordinator, asks a Sailor to complete a “1 Small ACT” card stating what they will do to combat mental stress during a Suicide Prevention Month event at NHP Sept. 18. The “1 Small ACT” message promotes that simple, everyday actions can save lives by using the Navy’s ACT (Ask Care Treat) bystander intervention model.
