A U-28A crewmember assigned to Hurlburt Field, Fla., gives the thumbs up as he taxis past C-130Js to to the runway for take-off Sept. 12, 2017, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. The U-28A provides a manned fixed wing, on-call/surge capability for improved tactical airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) in support of special operations forces.
