A KC-130J Super Hercules with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force takes off from Marine Corps Air Station Futenma en route to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, March 13. The supplies will be delivered to mainland Japan to be used humanitarian assistance operations following the earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan, March 11. The proximity of Marine aviation assets at MCAS Futenma has allowed Marines from III MEF to rapidly deploy critically-needed supplies and aid to support the relief effort.
