FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – Soldiers with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Airmen assigned to the 68th Airlift Squadron, 433rd Airlift Wing prepare to load an HH-60 medevac Blackhawk helicopter into a C-5M Super Galaxy, Sept. 11. The helicopter is one of 35 aircraft that the 101st Abn. Div. is relocating in preparation to support Hurricane Irma relief efforts. While the division received orders to reposition some of its forces, it has not been ordered to assist in the Total Army’s support to local, state and federal hurricane response efforts and the Defense Department’s Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission. However, it remains ready to respond to this or any contingency.
