Bureau of Land Management wild land firefighters take a moment of silence to remember the men, and women who lost their lives on 9/11, on Glide Base Camp, Oregon, Sept. 11. The firefighters, many of whom are themselves former military service members, know what it’s like to put duty before personal safety and are currently working with Soldiers, assigned to 23rd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team to combat wildfires in the Umpqua North Complex.
