BOLESLAWIECZ, Poland — Soldiers of 4th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, stand in formation with Polish soldiers near Market Square, Boleslawiecz, Poland, Sept. 8, 2017. The Polish army and the U.S. Army participate in Black Division Day, commemorating the battle of Vienna and its commander, King John III Sobieski. King Sobieski is the patron of the 11th Lubuska Armored Cavalry Division, for the battle of Vienna is the largest known cavalry charge in history. The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team operaties under Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. endeavor to fulfill obligations to NATO by rotating U.S.-based units through the European theater and participating in training exercises with Allies.
