BEAUMONT, Texas -- Bales of hay dropped by National Guard Helicopters rest on a small piece of high ground where cattle remained stranded, Sept. 7, 2017. Thousands of cattle were left stranded and without access to food in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, and civilians and Soldiers worked together to come up with means of getting food to as many of those cattle as possible.
