A Chinook helicopter is staged at the Bradford Island Visitor Center parking lot at Bonneville Lock & Dam on Sept. 5, 2017.The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working with several agencies in response to the Eagle Creek Fire. Fire departments from North Bonneville, Tualatin, Dayton, Keizer and Hillsboro staged personnel and equipment at Bonneville, including two Chinook helicopters for use in dipping water from the Columbia River.
