U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Brett Vongroven, a native of Mora, Minn., prepares to display a squadron shirt to a fan of the F-22 Raptor jet on March 4 in Geelong, Australia, during the 2011 Australia International Airshow. Vongroven is an F-22 Raptor pilot and currently assigned to Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. The U.S. and Australian alliance spans more than 60 years and provides an opportunity for U.S and senior military officials to engage with their Australian counterparts, and ultimately contribute toward interoperability between the two forces.
